I do not know why I have not yet been, I hear the shopping is absolutely fantastic. I will, of course, be bringing my slave to attend to my things, though you should not worry, her behaviour has improved dramatically.

Christmas is nearly upon us again, and I have to admit that I am quite excited for it. The chipper atmosphere around the manor is quite refreshing, now that the terrorist activity has died down a bit. Perhaps they, too, have gotten into the holiday spirit and wish to take a few days or so to celebrate themselves. One can only hope.

Will you and Miss Fawcett be joining us for Christmas? I would appreciate it ever so much if you would. You might bring along anyone you wish, if that is what you want.

I would like to ask that charming American friend of Demelza to spend Christmas with us, and possibly some time before or after that. We have the room, as you know, and I know she would appreciate it. And I cannot imagine that any hotel would be more comfortable than one of our guest rooms.

It is terribly tragic that we even need one in the first place, but the death toll is rising and their threat to our way of life very real. Lucius my love, I believe I am in need of your assistance. There is a young man in desperate need of a lesson on how to speak in the presence of ladies. He goes by the name of Conrad Warrington, I believe you are acquainted with him? I have tried to assist him with his manners, but it is more than a few simple warnings via journal can handle. I would attempt in person, but I am afraid that his rudeness is contagious. Is there any way you think you could help?
Perhaps such crude language is appropriate in whatever hovel you were raised in, Mr. Warrington, but it is never appropriate in public. Be this yet another warning to you to watch your language in these journals.
And, of course, my thoughts are with the Bulstrode family in their time of grief. I think we ought to do something for them, Danielle, do you not think? I can only imagine the pain of losing a child, especially one so young and with so much to live for.

My my, my mind has gotten away from me! Here it is, already October, and I have yet to remind everyone of the annual Halloween Masque that Lucius and I hold for the occasion? Needless to say, it will be by invitation only, which I will be sending out shortly after I return from Spain tomorrow.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and Bella, it was lovely to spend the evening with you the other day. We should do that more often.

Demelza, pack your things. We are leaving on Sunday for a week in Spain. Make sure to bring enough clothing, as well as a few of the nicer things I purchased for you. Oh, and you will find something else that is new in your closet; be sure to pack that as well. There is a suitcase in there as well. That is, unless you would rather stay at the manor with my husband.
Bella dear, any chance your trip will overlap mine? I do not remember if you mentioned exactly when you were planning on going.

It seems my request for a slave has not been ignored after all, as I received an owl baring a certificate only this afternoon. I suppose I will have to put off my trip while I collect her and get her settled, but I think it will be alright because I had not yet decided when to go or where.
Lucius, if I have not returned by the time you get home, I am probably out getting appropriate clothing for my new slave; I refuse to even bring the filthy rags she will be wearing into our home.

I did so enjoy the gala the other night, Danielle. It was lovely, you really outdid yourself. There was such a successful turnout as well; even I was impressed. Terrible tragedy though, those children. Why is the Order must insist on causing trouble for others? In their defiance, others are being hurt. Have you no decency? You could save so many lives just by turning yourself in.
